Robert has a 35-year career in executive management, investment management and corporate finance. Throughout his career, he has held senior positions in investment banking and venture capital including First Marathon Securities, BMO Nesbitt Burns, Mackie Research Capital, Yorkton Securities and Working Ventures Canada Fund. Robert has also served as CFO, senior executive, and director of a number of publicly listed companies in technology, food processing, manufacturing, cannabis, and financial services where he was responsible for financial reporting, corporate finance, investor relations, governance, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions. In 2014, Robert founded Temperance Capital Income Fund, a royalty debt fund which was sold to a private equity firm in 2019. More recently, between 2019 and 2023 Robert was the CFO and led the restructuring of a US cannabis business and subsequently was CFO of a European securities dealer where he was instrumental is the reorganization and sale of the business in 2024. Robert holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University.
